CALCULATION OF OPTIMAL WOOD-CUTTING AREA ON THE BASE, ACCORDING TO

Abstract
At present all the
methods existed to define the word – cutting area under calculation are
directed to the area calculation. However, at some
stands the actual wood stock could appear to be significantly less than expected
by the felling period. Thus, the area calculation actually doesn’t guarantee
the sustainable forestry principle to be true. We have already given the formula
to predict mature forest woodstock
on the base of its present stock and age. Numerous tests with the formula in
using Growth Development Tables showed the mathematical expectation in mean
deviations from the predicted ones have been 2,7 % for the conifers and to 0,1 %
- for the broad learned ones. That’s why we have offered the technology and the
computer program to define wood-cutting area on the base of the predicted woodstock.
