Abstract
The
article examines the process
of natural renewal of Siberian pine (Pinus Sibirica) in maternal cedar
forests
having motley grass or moss in the south of Kemerovo region. It
presents the
data got during the expeditions to the territory of
Shorsky National
Nature Park in 2002 and 2003. The results of the analysis show a
successful coexistence
of young Siberian pines and Siberian
firs and a high competitiveness of Siberian pine on the boundary of its
natural
habitat. There is a certain interdependence between the quantitative
distribution of the undergrowth and the slope exposure (northern,
eastern,
southern, western). The article also examines the influence of the
location on the
slope and the slope microrelief on the number of young Siberian pines.
