 Abstract

The indices of linear increment of progenies of 24 Siberian climatypes in provenance trials in the West Trans-Baikal region are shown. Climatypes, which can considerably reduce height increment in extreme conditions (such as lack of precipitation) are characterized by better survival. A strong positive link between the increment indices and indices of continentality of the originating maternal populations was found.

Keywords: Pinus sylvestris, provenance trials, survival, height increment, West Trans-Baikal region
