Abstract

 The influence of the microclimatic parameters on the carbon dioxide fluxes in larch ecosystems of Evenkian cryolithic part of Siberia is estimated. Air temperature changes with the appropriate changes of air humidity are shown to affect CO2 fluxes values considerably: under 99% humidity the fluxes increase as much as 6-7 times. Under low light and excessive wet conditions the diurnal CO2 dynamics is established to change completely: larch ecosystems release carbon dioxide more intensively at the day-time phase of the photosynthesis. A hypothesis about light intensity as a possible factor limiting summer photosynthesis in boreal forest areas with frequent cloud cover is confirmed. Cumulative net carbon uptake (1,77 g С m-2 s-1) is established to be twice as low as carbon emission (-3,38 g С m2 s-1) by larch ecosystem. The mature northern larch forests act as a net sink for CO2 during growing season.
